It is the Hon. John's book department which the papers are advertising free ol charge. He is sending all over the coun try a circular in which he offers to sell the Encyclopaedia Uritannica for about one-fifth the regular price. He is able to do this because he has stolen the book from the British owners. They were ob liged to pay about $1,000,000 for the articles it contains, written by the men foremost inevery department of learning, but the Hon.
